Really...

I don't want the local police disarmed any more than I want my neighbor disarmed. You are correct when you conclude that repeal of non-violent prohibition laws would all but stop the police state in its tracks and begin the process of repairing the relationship between police and citizen. So why disarm local police when their duties revert back to stopping and apprehending violent criminals?

I do believe that all federal agents should be disarmed as they are in violation of the "Posse Comitatus Act." The US Government bypasses this law by saying that the law applies to military only and that it does not apply to their alphabet agencies. The problem with that claim is that these agencies are indistinguishable from the military as they recieve military training and weapons. Just because the government says that you don't see what you see, does not make it so. If federal agents need assistance in aprehending a fugitive or serving a warrant, they need to use local resources.

I guess I'm not alone
