Military personnel take an oath to...

uphold, protect and defend the Constitution, and a vast majority of those who volunteer are committed to doing so. But after a few tours, most of them probably realize that civilian and military leaders are the biggest threat to our Constitutionally guaranteed freedoms. That may be why more active duty soldiers commit suicide than die in combat, and why Homeland Security considers veterans a domestic terrorist threat. I suspect the only reason many return to combat is loyalty to their unit, not loyalty to criminal US leaders who've betrayed the trust of our troops.

But suggesting that it's just US leaders who impose militaristic barbarism on other countries is a mistake because globalization also includes the new Globalized Military Industrial Complex (GMIC). The US military has partnered with Saudi Arabia and Communist China for the purpose of playing both sides of global conflicts that they create. War is a big part of the global economy, and this double agent style military strategy guarantees perpetual war and profits for the GMIC.
