"Demilitarized ammo. With all due respect for these Marines who lost their lives or were wounded, when are we going to get our collective heads out of our butts? These people died over decomm’d ammo… and we’re spending a small fortune maintaining the facility for it.

The “Semper Fi” comments are nonsensical. There’s nothing “faithful” going on here. These men are dead, their families grieving a very real loss. Macho slogans like “Semper Fi” are hardly an appropriate response.

Let’s wake up. We don’t need this much military, and we don’t need a facility for stockpiling older ammo. We DO need schools, and medical care, teachers, doctors, nurses, innovative engineers. These most recent deaths add to the reasons it’s time we evolved to a more intelligent way of living.

And yes, as a matter of fact, I DID serve."
