The flood of immigrants "allowed" into this country, were used to destroy the middle class. They paid no taxes and worked for half price.
The builders pocketed more money but were being squeezed from above to build cheaper.
Skilled workers like myself had to move to new towns ahead of the migration. Eventually we were priced completely out of the work.
So we moved to the next skill level up, but we worked for half price.
Now, those jobs are gone and I have moved to the next tier up and make less money than I did in 1985. This flood of cheep labor has done much to hurt the US.
There are proper steps to immigrate and I don't blame the hard working individual seeking a better life.
