Yep, Michael sees many of the problems clearly but like others on the progressive left he maintains the silly notion that with central authority intact, and with "good" guys in charge, things will be just fine.
If we could just get well meaning libs like him to accept the reality that it's the concentration of power, not the guys wielding it, that is the problem.
He blames the corporations, when it's the govt that created and empowers them. It's like blaming Frankenstein's monster rather than Frankenstein himself.
