I can't disagree with much of that but

there is a role in people coming together as a community (like our founders intended) and work towards the good of the people.

What if a small city pooled their money together through taxes and let citizens have free healthcare? That would be "socialism" but on a very local level.

Maybe a small clinic with a network of doctors and nurses paid modestly through deregulation, and detach any medical-industrial-complex ties to the medical center...that would be a good start!

I mean if everyone needs healthcare, then why not take the profit out of it and care for your common man?

If you don't like it, then you don't have to live there.
