That was good strategy by Rand. Wanna know why? Because the neocons I talk to everyday like him because they can trust that he's a Republican. Whenever I talk to them about ROn, you know what the number one reason for not supporting him is? Because he left the party and went against Reagan, so they didn't think he could be trusted. That's it, nothing to do with policy.
So no matter how much you think Rand's endorsement of Romney hurt the liberty movement, you are still wrong, it helped establish Rand as trustworthy among the typical Republican.
Now Rand has the reigns, doesn't he? Now he can control what is and is not republican. Right up until that filibuster, drone strikes were a welcome part of the Republican party, now minds are being changed.
