Everyone in my family, minus 2 cousins and my wife, will check out of the conversation as soon as you bring up politics. It's pathetic even though they all know I served honorably in the US Army.
People use to see me in uniform and stop to thank me for serving. I would simply say "thanks for your support," even though I would want to say something along the lines of, "If you support the troops, then get involved so we don't have to fight these meaningless wars."
Seriously, DP and Nystrom and anyone who helped bring this website to fruition: thank you for YOUR service of questioning your "elected" leadership.
