I say, let 'em try to push this through. It will just tick off the people even more and wake them up to how they're really being treated. Any "change" that comes along to support the people, will just get that much more support.
It won't be much longer before we can get some car power plants out to the people (car makers or individuals for retrofits) which no longer rely much on oil. I know it's taking much longer than expected, but there are quite a few competing technologies about ready to hit the streets. And with today's accelerated pace of product roll-out, mass adoption will go faster than any transition in history.
What's the IMF going to do when we tell the oil oligopoly to keep their slaving crap?
