I worked in a slaughter house once. It wasn't like this.

It was about as humane as a industrial killing process slaughtering a few thousand a day can be. Cold, mechanical and yet considerate.

The pigs were always kept in groups as being herd animals they get nervous and dislike being on their own. They were walked into a chamber which then filled with nitrogen and C02 they painlessly fell unconscious never to wake.

Though I never saw this process, we were instructed upon it, when I saw them they were bacon.

Nothing was wasted, stinking silo's were filled with ominous fluids for medicines ect.
