...commenting on was the mocking of someone believing resurrection CAN happen. That's as silly as mocking an atheist for believing it CAN'T happen. If an omnipotent God exists, then wouldn't it be odd to say resurrection can't happen? If no God exists, wouldn't it be odd to say resurrection can happen?

As for the historicity of Christ, there is certainly a lot more manuscript evidence of the gospels, closer in time to the originals, than say the works of Plato or the writings of Julius Ceasar. Do you also scoff at people who accept the historicity of Plato or his actual thoughts and words having been adequately preserved?
