Careful with the worm tea, it needs watered down before you put it on plants. I learned that the hard way.
Tomatoes - so much depends on the variety. By using a tomato cage, you can sort of contain them to an area of your choosing, but I would not put them closer than 18" - 24" if they are full size 'maters. And if anyone reads this who is really good at tomatoes, speak up. I have a couple varieties that do well for me, and I grow THEM. (Mountain Roma and Purple Cherokee.) The roma is cherry tomato size, needs very little space, the Cherokee gets about a 3 x 3 patch and is only partially staked, I like to let it sprawl around as much as possible, it seems to produce HUGE fruit when it is allowed to go a little wild.
