But it occurred to me that there ARE reasons we can't all just get along. It isn't merely a lack of good will, as poor old Rodney King suggested. Both the personal insecurities mentioned in my earlier post on this thread, and the zero-sum-game forced on us by government, militate against peaceful coexistence.

It's probably not a coincidence that I have had both you and Reed selected as "friends" in my DP account for a few years now, Mark. I notice you don't use that feature yourself, but I find it convenient -- the system lets you know whenever one of your "friends" posts a new article.

One does not need Christlike forbearance to look good on the DP -- just more than the person you're arguing with. I can be as bloody-minded as the next guy, but usually I'm smart enough to realize that's not the best way to win friends and influence people. Voluntaryists are still a minority hereabouts, so I've got some heavy influencing to do.
