I am glad you got your pizza.

Tel Aviv is not too great. I would definitely pick Jerusalem to stay in. Lots more going on. Within walking distance of the old City would be perfect. I could sit and people watch for a month straight in the old City.

I stayed outside Tel Aviv in Bet Shemish for a bit. We had a car and drove from Tel Aviv all the way down to Elat and Aqaba, Jordan on the Red Sea, and up into Jordan to Petra (ancient Nabatean trade route). Then we drove all the way up to the top of the mountain in the Golan Heights (stayed with some couple who owned stole from Syrians, a ski resort. Then down through the Sea of Galilee and back down to Jerusalem. I would have liked to have spent more time in Jerusalem.
