Robots, why not

It was K. Čapek, czech writer, who invented the word and this human-like robot scare in his famous play R.U.R. already in 1920 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/R.U.R._%28Rossum%27s_Universal_..., in english: http://ebooks.adelaide.edu.au/c/capek/karel/rur/). Since then it was many times reiterated. But in my opinion it is still ultimately humans, who are the responsible for how the technology will be used. I can imagine many ways how it can be used including sinister purposes and I surely do not want to encounter a monster from the above video with autonomous stalking and killing code inside in a dark alley. But I think there is many much easier ways how to kill people in mass than using this machines. I would rather think this is more about development of technologies than primarily about creating an "army of robots" for purpose of killing people.
