That's true, but I contend that is becoming less and less valuable in today's market. At least for anything that's NOT a liberal arts degree. In that case is basically who you know that's gets you a job. But that's still a big gamble.

If I were to counsel a youngster planning their future, I'd tell them to start with an Associates Degree. Pay out right for your school, skip getting loans. Graduate and get a handful of years of experience in the job market, then consider continuing education.

This plan has worked excellent for me. And it avoids selling your soul to the banks.
