It's not like the lowered bee population

has to stay that way. There are businesses that raise queen bees and workers, and they make enough to cover the demand. If the current suppliers can't meet the demand, others will step in and raise bees, also. When the demand is higher than the supply, the price goes up, but then things equalize out after a while. If bees keep dying off like they have been, the demand and supply will remain high. Honey bees are in no danger of going extinct.
