Comment: Turning "off" and "leaving at home".

Turning "off" and "leaving at home".

Turning off really doesn't turn it off as there is an internal capacitor that continues to allow 3rd parties to identify your location (to varying levels of accuracy.).

You'd have to remove the battery and let it sit for awhile or try to turn it on with the battery off multiple times before it is "off".

Also, don't leave it at home as the "nexus of events" model provides people tracking you to know essentially your entire life by where your cell goes and who you call.

Put it in a third location hiding place and pick it up after. Rotate the third location (away from your home) now and then. Mess up the data collection model.
