I'm convinced, too, that while pesticides are the prime cause, there are myriad contributing factors. Indeed, in 1923 Rudolf Steiner (who developed the organic method of farming called biodynamic agriculture) predicted when we would start to see the demise of the honeybee after they'd started to artificially breed queens.
