I'd be interested in hearing the the feds justify their jurisdiction to arrest a duely elected constitutional officer within a State, when the sheriffs' jurisdiction is a territory OF a given State, and foreign the jurisdiction of the United States. This could be interesting jurisprudence.
It might even ignite a firestorm of indignation from the people of those states. What that might look like is anyone's guess.
