After all, if we get "free" food and medicine, then we need police protection to enforce that, right? And that has to be "free," too, right? And the only way to have free cops is to make them work for free.
And then we also have to be able to enforce our new-found "rights" to food, medicine, and police protection, so we need courts and they have to bee "free" too, right? And the only way for the courts to be free if for the judges and bailiffs and court clerks and lawyers and janitors to all work for free too, right?
And we need laws to enforce all these new-found "rights" to free stuff, so we need politicians to pass the laws. And that has to be free too, right? These are "rights" after all -- we have a "right" to good laws for free stuff. So, the politicians and their staff have to work for free, too, right?
And of course the doctors and nurses and pharma companies all have to work for free, too, right? And the farmers and truck drivers and grocery store clerks all have to work for free, too, right?
Sounds like heaven ...
... or the USSR.
