Your first mistake is

expecting the dietary guidelines set forth by the government to EVER be free of corruption, payoffs, and corporation influence. Your second mistake is believing the manipulated data coming from fraudulent and flawed studies over the last 50 years supporting our current food pyramid guidelines as if they were based in any kind of real science at all.

The dietary and heart disease "studies" have been the blueprint for how the more recent global warming scientists have conducted their "studies". It's money and grant driven and not worth the paper it's written on.

Your third mistake is listening to this snarky "reporter" who really doesn't know what he's talking about. He is clearly a vegetarian evangelical who basing his condescending snarkyness on flawed science and government trust, as if all regulations aren't designed to eliminate competition and boost business for the corporate benefactor with friends in high places.

Nutritionfacts.org???? Try NutritionBS.org. That's more accurate.

Ask yourself who benefited from the government sticking their nose in. Would that be...mmmmm....Vegetable Oil products and the corn industry including the corn oil and corn syrup industry? Gee. And you wonder why we are a sick country. I'll give you a hint. It has nothing to do with too much meat and dairy. Our problems started and continue to this day with highly processed franken-food and that includes vegetable oils.
