Christian fundamentalist were a back to basic group, similar to a lot of other such movements - ie Puritan, Pilgrim's, etc.

Replying to ignorance with more ignorance isn't worth doing. Only actually facts and the desire for truth has any merit in actual discussion.

What the fundamentalist believed is probably best seen in the 1910 set of books called "The Fundamentals" - which is here:

I don't consider myself a fundamentalist, but their beliefs don't seem different from other Christians.
