Between Boston's 2,015 policemen, other MA police departments, and 2,300 state troopers; New York City's 34,000 police officers (who know a bit about terrorism); America's 13,000 FBI agents; and the CIA and entire Dept. of Homeland Security... with the greatest terrorist attack having occurred right here... we can't follow through with this investigation on our own? We need Israeli police to help? It doesn't make sense.
The discussions “will center on the Boston Marathon bombings and deepening professional cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of both countries.” Deepening cooperation between American law enforcement agencies and those of Israel? Are we planning to do this with other countries, too? But isn't that what Interpol is for?
And speaking of 9-11, while we still don't know what happened, there have been multiple posts at the DP and elsewhere raising valid questions re the possibility that some within Israel may have been, at best, forewarned. Was that ever investigated? Given that this Boston attack could have been anything from a disgruntled lone wolf to an int'l terrorist plot, I'm not comfortable with Israel or any other country being on the inside of the investigation.
When we try to pick out anything by itself, we find it hitched to everything else in the Universe.
