As well any student of free market economics knows - if there is a market demand of 90% of the public favoring stricter policies on the sale of guns, the market would supply that demand whether the government chose to or not. For example, recently a number of sporting goods retailers (Dicks) implemented their own tighter policy on the guns and ammo sold at their stores. If market demand was really truly 90% there would be boycotts, steep drop in sales, mobs picketing gun retailers, etc.
