Right on. I agree with you on this.
The point is that for some people, grains, legumes, and dairy, and for some, also nightshades and nuts, are very destructive to the digestive system. The problems can include GERD, gastritis, celiac disease, Crohn's, MS, colitis, ulcerative colitis, and IBS. Other issues can include kidney problems, liver problems, skin issues, unexplained weight loss, unexplained weight gain and inability to lose weight.
If one will listen to the clip above, one will find Robb Wolf discussing all of this and his personal issues.
Wolf also advocates people with health issues trying all diets. He suggests keeping notes on how you feel, your weight and going to the doctor and getting blood work done. Then try a diet for 30 days, while keeping notes on how you feel and getting more blood work at the end of the 30 days. Then repeating this with the next diet, etc. Then at the end of it all compare your notes on how you felt and blood work and what you should and shouldn't be doing should be fairly obvious.
I wish I had done what he advocates. Instead I did it the long and hard way of eliminating one problem food at a time. My diet now is more severe than the Paleo diet, but like it or not, it's what I have to do to stay healthy and not die young.
Now we should all turn off our computers and go outside and play...
