I get that the founders by no means meant for their Constitution to stand the test of time. They expected it to be changed and modified, which is why they outlined the means of doing so.
It is all well and good to say that the Constitution is antiquated. However, if you want to change it, the document itself tells you how. Go ahead and change it. That is what it is there for.
