Nearly half of the poll takers want to trample basic human rights in favor of perceived freedom, while not quite half of the poll takers distrust the government enough to stand for basic human rights.

I wish they had thought a while ago to ask this question before, so we can see a trend: which is going up, and which is going down? The pessimist in me is thinking that if we don't buckle down in defending and advocating our freedoms and rights and in supporting the Rule of Law (via Constitution), more people will be okay with the disintegration of what makes America exist.
