If you know about proteins, carbs, and fats, then you know what burns off and what doesn't. That's why Atkins dieters almost always wind up gaining back the weight and then some. That's why high protein results in sluggishness and high carb results in more energy. That's why all the great runners and athletes consume carbs before their sports events. One doesn't have to be a scientist to know this.
