Statistically it has been 47±6 3sigma for last 100 years.

A ratio of 47 would require silver at 31 or Gold at 1151.

The gold rush of 1849 and the Silver boom of the late 1800s stressed the system since the gold:silver ratio was fixed by law. But the money printing of the Federal Reserve broke the law in 1942 when Bretton Woods fixed the price of gold at $35/oz.
