The British guy didn't seem to try to understand the other guy's points. The points made sense, but the British guy only seemed capable of emotional spin, without interacting with the arguments in any meaningful way. He said something like "you are comparing this sort of violence to a spoon?". He should really take a logic class, like philosophy 101 or 102, because an argument form is the same regardless of which variables are plugged into it. It's a standard process in logic to plug things into argument forms to see if the form still holds up. The American wasn't saying that the violence was as unimportant as a spoon, he was showing that the same argument form used by the left doesn't work with different variables plugged in, thus logically showing they had no rational basis to hold their view. It would be better if journalists majored in philosophy rather than in journalism and the British guy in this video is a case in point.
