I tried to vote you up

but my vote didn't change you from -1 to 0. So I tried voting you down. It changed the -1 to a -3. So I voted back up and score changed from a -3 to -1. For some reason the vote count will not go up.

A few years ago I realized how much love was talked about for Christians. It was interesting to me that very little is said about how Christians should be treating other people in my experience.

Jesus said all the law and prophets hang on 2 tings:

Love God
Love your neighbor as yourself.

So then one of the lawyers wants to know...who is my neighbor. Jesus told the story of the good Samaritan. The Jews hated the Samaritans. They wouldn't even travel thru their land. It happens that comeone got attacked by robbers and 2 people walked by and didn't help the man. Only the Samaritan helped the me. He picked him up, put him on his donkey and took him to an inn and nursed his health. Then he gave the innkeeper money to keep the man and said he would pay the rest when he returned if there was a balance due.

The 2 that walked by...I am gong to go look up who they were so I get it right: a priest and the other was a Levite...two religious people...the person that helped, oh he was the despised by the religious: a Samaritan...half-breed Jews. They were hated by the religious. The story is in Luke 10:25-37

Jesus ends the story with a question as to who was the neighbor and also gave a direction to do likewise.

36 Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves? 37And he said , He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and dothou likewise.

Michael, Jesus also says that on the day of judgement many will tell all they did for Jesus and Jesus will say, depart from me. I never knew you. The Bible tell that if people don't love their brother who they have seen they cannot love God who they cannot see. And if one does not love then one does not know God.

It is no wonder that Gandhi liked Jesus, but not Christians. Not all who call themselves Christians are what they say.

And here you, someone not raised as a Christian are having to tell "Christians" so.

Jesus said by our love one to another people will know we are his disciples. Perhaps there was no love shown for Gandhi to see?
