Is a good way to describe it.

Sometimes it feels like people say, "Oh, here's some terrible, depressing, crappy news. I think I'll post it on the Daily Paul."

I'm guilty of it too. I think the reason is that we want to reinforce how shitty the world is.

Heaven up there is looking to relive the magic with Rand Paul.

To me that is like saying, "I didn't get the girl I wanted, so let me try out her sister," which is a logical fallacy when you understand that everyone is an individual.

We all remember the upbeat, underdog optimism you speak of. But even with Rand it will be impossible to duplicate here because this community is so split on Rand. It is just going to be one huge fight. I can see it coming. Like the Gary Johnson days, only bigger and uglier.

How to mitigate it? How to avoid it?

Ban those at the extremes, who can't control themselves. Both those who respond with, "Rand 2016 - 'nuff said" as well as those who say, "Rand doesn't deserve to wear the name Paul."

Not looking forward to that...
