At the time we may have been the most libertarian country founded but we are certainly far from where we used to be. Even the most libertarian state in this country would still fall within the scope of the federal political spectrum, unfortunately.
I'm encouraged but do you think this will solve our problems? I like the idea behind it, but the downside is if one state gains a heavy population of libertarians at the expense of other states becoming more radical, wouldn't the two actions cancel each other out? Even if the state becomes a beacon of success, would the federal government not find a way to tax them and send their earnings to other failed states? Unfortunately I see things in America becoming a lot worse before they will ever begin to get any better.
