"unconditional nonviolence"

I found this forum post a while ago and bookmarked it. I need to reread it but I think you'll find this relates to your topic - at least the 19th century preacher. It's an in-depth criticism of the Christian based idea of "unconditional nonviolence." Its heavy on etymology and focuses around Matthew 5:38-48.

Other interesting reading:

Happy reading!
