I tend to agree with you on this.

That printed gun looks like a joke. It says he used a nail for a firing pin which is OK but how did he acquire a barrel. I know the barrel doesn't have to be perfect and/or rifled for an up close shot but it does have to be close or it will have no velocity or it will jam and explode in your face.

I want to see this gun fire. If it does fire successfully, how many times will it before it falls apart in your hand?
