It's the stupidest thing. Being forced to think about guns from the perspective of the control freaks in order to anticipate how not to run afoul of their rules. It hurts the brain and I'm sure the less painful thing is to adopt their way of thinking instead of trying to hold onto two different thinking patterns.
And then there are the control freaks themselves, who want to have some kind of leapy belly reaction to seeing a gun. The looks on their faces, they must be making themselves physically ill.
