We know you're a great student, responsible, an all-around nice guy and model citizen. But it's against the law to bring a weapon onto school property. It makes no difference to us whether it was WITH INTENT TO COMMIT MURDER or an OVERSIGHT after a weekend of HUNTING AND FISHING. Really. We'd expel ANY student and charge him with a felony - whether the school was in lock-down and he was apprehended by a SWAT TEAM... OR openly calling his mother from a school office attempting to correct the situation. It's nothing personal, Cole. You know. STICK TO THE RULE!
Here's what I think would be an appropriate consequence. I know it might seem harsh, but I'm a strict disciplinarian! I'd say that, for the final two weeks of school, Cole should lose his privilege to park in the student lot.
Ever see that great film Coffee and Cigarettes? Here's the part that immediately came to mind. http://movieclips.com/efCu-coffee-and-cigarettes-movie-nothi...
When we try to pick out anything by itself, we find it hitched to everything else in the Universe.
