Flu shot or not?

I think one of the responses I read here, is the answer to not getting a flu shot! Hand-washing became very important when there was an outbreak of MRSA, in the hospital, in which I was working. The nurses, that did not practice good hand-washing and isolation techniques, ended up with MRSA boils on their hands and fingers!

Hand washing, with well lathered hands, for the same amount of time as it takes to sing "Yankee Doodle" through the first verse, will kill 99.99% of bacteria and viruses, and protect other patients from, iatrogenic, spread of disease. That applies in both bacterial and viral infections!

Learning proper techniques, for washing hands, in pubic bathrooms, as they teach children in Head Start, is the one, best, way to decrease the spread of infections. There is the proper way to do it, then there is everything else! Touching bare handles, with clean hands, will just recontaminate them!
