first there are multiple occasions that are describes as the shot heard round the world...

secondly john hancock and samuel adams had absolutely nothing to do with the battle of lexington (which is the shot I assume you speak of)

third.. the shot happened near a tavern(bar in modern speak)

and fourth... if god's method of "divine" intervention was starting a war... then i want nothing to do with this god fellow.

Tools of war are not always obvious. The worst weapon is an idea planted in the mind of man. Prejudices can kill, suspicion can destroy, and a thoughtless, frightened search for a scapegoat has an everlasting fallout all of its own.
