I quoted what **that boy's school** had on its website re

teachers - what THE SCHOOL claims to both believe and represent - to compare it with the caliber of teaching that was actually the norm in that classroom, according to the student: being given packets of information to read.

And not to demean the role of parents, especially during their most formative early years, but if children attend a public or private school, once children are in school (seven hours/day, five days per week, 9-10 months per year), it's teachers, not parents, who are in charge of what learning takes place or not during that time (often more time than parents spend with their children per day) and the quality of that experience.

When we try to pick out anything by itself, we find it hitched to everything else in the Universe.
