15 plastic parts, 1 metal pin: actually quite brilliant design

in its simplicity.

I can see this as a basis for a 'new'-ish polymer bodied+metal sub-chasis break-open, Thompson Contender pistol with interchangeable calibers (in both pistol and rifle calibers, the latter's practicality aside. lol).

If a reliable SCCY can be produced, sold for sub-$250 market price,

don't see why a 'manufactured-in-Polymer/Nylon body with metal subframes and pins' couldn't make for an 'okay' 'survival pistol' in the vein of X-Caliber for 12ga single-shot break-open shotguns.
