Comment: The Poll The Article Refers To

The Poll The Article Refers To

"And, not to mention, in a recent poll 61% of college students in the US already want the government to stay completely out of their lives."

I researched that and I think it's a misstatement. The poll question reads:

-----------------------------------------------------
Beyond providing essential functions like a capable military, food inspection, air, rail and road safety, the federal government should...
... take an active role in Americans' day-to-day life
... take an active role in your day-to-day life
-----------------------------------------------------

So voting "disagree" doesn't mean "want the government to stay completely out of their lives".

Don't get me wrong here though. I'm completely for very limited government. And I don't even like the question the first place because I don't think the functions that the question refers to as "essential" actually are essential. "Food inspection, air, rail and road safety"??? I vote "nope, nope, nope and nope".

I'm just saying that article has some spin associated w/ it.
