Not all laws are bad laws even when they force an individual or group to do something they are opposed to. It only takes one time for irreversable damage to be done or have you forgotten the melamine scandal in China already? Do not mistake the horrid things our current government does today for the purpose of government and its uses to the masses that it is supposed to be serving.
The fallacy I see in most arguments is that we can make an educated decision based on given facts. That would be fine if we knew the information presented were, in fact, facts. Why do we hate Monsanto? Do I really need to answer that question? Now, what on God's green Earth makes you think that, if there wasn't a law in place, they'd willfully label their products? As I said above, it only takes one time and that would be one time too many. Forcing the truth from an individual may not sit well with you but given the trade off of them being able to secretly slip a poison into your food at a whim ........
