Comment: Should it be in a traditional debate?

(See in situ)

Should it be in a traditional debate?

Such as, there's a proposal, topic, or whatever, and then have the Pro try to prove, it, and have the con try to dismantle it?

Example:

Resolution: The United States government is justified in intervening in affairs of foreign countries

then pro con can engage in debate by the acceptation of the instigator, and then we can watch a battle of ideas.

Of course, the definitions and such have to be agreed by both of the debators.

Also, there should be a "Today's top debate" some how, like arranged by popularity, numbers of voters, or whatever, I am sure this would be a wonderful idea for people to debate.
