Oklahomans are used to these

Oklahomans are used to these events. Just buy a portable, battery-powered weather radio with an alert capability. If one stays alert to the weather, Oklahoma is probably one of the safer states in which to live as the weather forecasting is generally among the best in the world. I knew that April would likely appear in May on the southern plains. The 2013 tornado season is about a month behind schedule.

One last piece of advice: don't, i.e. do NOT, try to outrun the damn things in a car. If in a mobile home, leave it for cover in a ditch. Most importantly, pray!
