and/or the "war on terrorism" is jingoism at its finest (and not in a good way). Words have meaning, here's the reality:
Congress passed a resolution authorizing the use of military force by the president against a tactic (terror) and/or an ideology (terrorism).
Plug this into the statements by the president and ask why the president would be willing to give up the power to execute UN resolutions and international law to invade and occupy other countries under the AUMF without having to notify congress (which authorization is granted under the AUMF)?
Will we next hear members of congress who advocate withdrawing the resolution so Obama is getting out ahead of the story? Or, is there something bigger in the wind...stay tuned.
