This is the stigma we must face as people who are awake. We do not automatically trust our leaders. So we get called "anti Semites," etc. I say call them conspiracy denialists. Our founding fathers were conspiracy theorists. They understood well the problems with centralized authority. As the social sciences established themselves in academia however, the concept of conspiracy became equated with reactionary and paranoid thought. A professor at Florida State has written about this. Here is his book. He details, from an insider's perspective, how the concept of conspiracy has taken on such a stigma.
