Instead of whining about the whistleblower leaving the country, he would instead be calling out the gov't for cloaking its dirty deeds by classifying them and using "national security" as a free pass.
Snowden didn't put the nation's security at risk. He exposed unconstitutional and diabolical schemes the gov't is perpetrating on us.
Regarding Schieffer's rebuke of Snowden "running away", Snowden doesn't owe it to anyone to let the gov't throw him in the clink and torture him or kill him. He did the right thing by exposing these diabolical gov't abuses.
...And regarding Schieffer's comparison with MLK, as you pointed out, we all know what happened to him.
