This parable makes a good

This parable makes a good point about living a simpler life, but it has anti-capitalistic overtones.

By putting into practice the business advice and experience of the executive, the Mexican fisherman would increase efficiency of scarce resources, therefore he would provide the consumer with a better product at a cheaper price, and become rich in the process.

This is a win/win situation. But this scenario is seen as negative or selfish by ignorant people with an anti-capitalistic mentality.
